EPW - David Morice, Fenchurch Street, London, fusee pocket chronometer with spring detent escapement, 53mm, nickel OF recase, cream colored enamel dial with applied photo emulsion of a woman and man, KWKS, fully capped spring detent escapement, diamond endstone, approximately 15J, gilt mvt, s#4676. CONDITION:
Mvt: Running with slight error in round, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, good gilt tone, small arrow marking through gilt finish adjacent winding arbor, typical fine to micro-fine scratches elsewhere, escape wheel hole jewel has visible fine fractures and the escape wheel jewel setting has been rotated and is seated below the level of the surrounding plate, winding square with filing marks presumably from shortening, mild oxide to regulator and hairspring stud; excellent dial with some scratches to emulsion image; excellent hands; case cuvette has been replaced with a removable bezel without crystal, case shows light wear, dent to lower rear adjacent hinge, engine turning detail with some reduction; tight misshapen replacement bow; bull's-eye glass crystal with edge flaking along much of right side.
